EVAN J. SALAN

Evan J. Salan is Of Counsel to the firm. Mr. Salan represents clients in various commercial matters, including Transactional Matters, Breach of Contract Actions, Collection matters, Bankruptcy/Insolvency related matters, Litigation/Trial Practice, Business Litigation, and General Commercial Litigation in New Jersey and New York State. Additionally, Mr. Salan has managed commercial litigation and bankruptcy cases with local counsel for his commercial clients throughout the United States.

Mr. Salan graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts and upon graduation was employed as both a collections and credit manager for Nationsbank Commercial Corporation. Mr. Salan earned his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 1995. Mr. Salan is admitted to the New York State Bar, the New Jersey State Bar and the California State Bar. Additionally, Mr. Salan is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States District Court for New Jersey, and the Bankruptcy of New York and New Jersey.

Mr. Salan is a former in-house counsel for American Express Business Finance Corporation, American Express’ wholly owned commercial lease and business equipment finance subsidiary. Mr. Salan has extensive commercial lease and business equipment finance law experience, and has negotiated and documented equipment leasing and financings agreements and lending facilities, including municipal equipment leases and other ancillary lease and equipment financing documents. Additionally, Mr. Salan has negotiated and drafted vendor agreements, broker agreements, vendor advance funding, vendor recourse agreements, and internet hyperlink agreements for his commercial lease and business equipment finance clients.

Mr. Salan is member of The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association of America and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
